Overview
Jacob (Jake) Beckerman-Hsu, PhD, is a Senior Associate for Social Policy and Economics Research with nearly a decade of experience conducting research and authoring technical reports, scientific papers, and presentations in the fields of public health and nutrition. He designs surveys and interviews, collects data in English and Spanish, and employs a diverse set of analytic methodologies, including multilevel modeling and qualitative analysis. Beckerman-Hsu also leads technical assistance efforts for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed).
Beckerman-Hsu’s project portfolio includes several SNAP-Ed projects, leading technical assistance tasks and providing analytic support. He also leads longitudinal data linkage and analysis and technical assistance for the WIC Participant and Program Characteristics study, and he leads analysis for the Understanding Risk Assessment in SNAP Payment Accuracy and Food Purchases of SNAP Households studies.
